Lebanon
Stone alleys meeting the sea.
Batroun is a coastal town in North Lebanon built from honey-coloured sandstone, with a Phoenician sea wall, a short souk of stone arcades and a working fishing port. Most of our houses here are a few minutes' walk from the water.
It is the easiest coastal base in Lebanon for a weekend: swimming in the morning, the souk for dinner, and the Batroun district's vineyards and Douma's mountain villages within a short drive inland.
